The transition to a circular economy requires local waste and residue streams to be converted into valuable products that can be utilized in the same region. There is wide range of potential waste and residue feedstock in the south of The Netherlands, each having an optimal conversion and utilization pathway leading to the highest added value.
4 pilot-scale conversion facilities (each utilizing a specific type of pyrolysis technology) will be established at the Port of Moerdijk. 8 different local feedstock options will be converted into products, chemicals and fuels. For each, the optimum conversion route will be determined. GoodFuels is responsible for determining the potential of the fuel products as a marine fuel.
