About the role

To strengthen our impact-driven team, we’re currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager Marine.

As Commercial Manager Marine, you will be working in the GoodFuels sales team. Together with two other marine managers, you will be the face of our maritime business unit. Your role is pivotal to our mission in trading sustainable biofuels to shipping companies, including container liners, dredging companies, ports, inland carriers and the coast guard. You will be responsible for sales and account management within your own portfolio, and for contributing to the growth ambitions of the GoodFuels Marine business unit.

Key responsibilities 

+ Handling (part of) the current customer portfolio, including answering questions, renewing contracts and general account management;
+ Developing and executing plans on how to achieve growth targets for your portfolio within GoodFuels Marine;
+ Identifying and approaching new leads;
+ Providing new leads and existing customers with information via calls/meetings, presentations and emails;
+ Creating and sending out price quotations;
+ Visiting virtual and in-person events for networking (conferences, fairs, etc.).

Who are you?

For the role of Commercial Manager, we are looking for someone with:

+ A passion for sales and account management;
+ A proactive and collaborative attitude;
+ A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail;
+ A growth mindset, who likes working in a fast-changing environment;
+ Strong communication and networking skills;
+ An interest and (personal) drive to contribute to the energy transition.

You will also have:

+ A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (both a commercial and technical background is of interest to us);
+ At least eight years of relevant work experience, in which you have been responsible for sales and/or account management;
+ Knowledge about the maritime industry, (bio)fuels and/or sustainability;
+ Experience in working with a CRM system;
+ Fluent in English and preferably at least one other language;
+ Interest in sustainability and making a positive impact.
